DAY 1
Topic 1: ¡Sitios mágicos! Discovering the charms of the descriptions of wildlife in an interesting indigenous community.
Classroom Lesson: Vocabulary to describe nature and wildlife.
Immersive Tour: Travel by express boat from the port of Leticia to Bocana Amacayacu, transfer by small boat to travel to Casa Gregorio located in San Martín de Amacayacu. Arrival at Casa Gregorio, installation in the cabin, rest. Then, there will be a recognition walk within the indigenous community. We will close the night with a dinner.
DAY 2
Topic 2: ¡Hablemos de la madre tierra!
Classroom Lesson: Explore vocabulary related to the environment, ecology, and sustainable practices.
Immersive Tour: We will start the day with a typical Amazon breakfast, then we will go by boat to Puerto Nariño. We will visit the Mirador and Lake Tarapoto. Then we will see the “Renaco Tree that Walks”, the pink and gray dolphins, as well as a great diversity of birds.
That day we will enjoy a typical lunch, juices and desserts made of exotic Amazonian fruits in Puerto Nariño. After dessert, we will visit the Natütama Foundation with the aim of learning interesting things related to the world under water. Then, we will return to Casa Gregorio at 3:00 p.m. approximately. After that, we will rest. Time for dinner. Then we will do a night walk.
DAY 3
Topic 3: ¡El flojo trabaja dos veces!
Classroom Lesson: Practice expressing jobs, skills, and professional experiences in Spanish.
Immersive Tour: After breakfast, we will travel 45 minutes by boat up the Amacayacu ravine. Then, we will walk in the Amazon jungle for 1 hour until we reach the site known as the Totumo. At the end of the walk, we will have lunch, surely after 3:00 p.m.
We will take a break or swim in the Amacayacu stream. Later, we will do a ceramics workshop with an indigenous artisan from the community. After this activity we will have dinner.
DAY 4
Topic 4: A la Maloca! Center of the social life of the indigenous people!
Classroom Lesson: Immerse yourself in traditions, customs and ancestral festivities.
Immersive Tour: Breakfast, canoeing and fishing through the Amacayacu ravine. Lunch time.
At 4 pm the Yanchama painting workshop will begin with an indigenous artisan. Finally, we will close the day with a dinner.
DAY 5
Topic 5: Ya eso es clavo pasado… Practicing the past in Spanish is a constant need!
Classroom Lesson: Keys to master the 4 most useful ways to talk about the past in Spanish.
Immersive Tour: After breakfast, we will go on a walk with a talk about indigenous agriculture. We will analyze the deep meaning of the Amazon jungle. Next, we will have our lunch. We’ll take a break. Then we will do a handicraft workshop with palm fiber. We will close the night with dinner.
DAY 6
Topic 6: ¡El que no llora no mama! Your voice, your choice!
Classroom Lesson: Vocabulary and phrases to express preferences and opinions.
Immersive Tour: Guided tour of historical sites, discussing their significance in Spanwe will start the day with a typical breakfast. Then we will take a boat trip to the indigenous community of Mocagua to visit the Maikuchiga monkey rehabilitation center. There, we will have interaction with approximately 6 species of monkeys that will be released into the jungle in the future.
Lunch will be in Mocagua, in a typical indigenous restaurant located in front of the Amazon River. Then, we will return to Casa Gregorio at 2:30 p.m. approximately. We’ll take a break. We will end with dinner.
DAY 7
Topic 7: ¿Cuáles son mis planes para el futuro?
Classroom Lesson: Master future tenses to talk about aspirations, dreams, and future plans.
Immersive Tour: Attending a to meeting in the Amacuyacu community and discussing personal preferences in Spanish. Here we will make our immersive tour that day.

Each topic will consist of a series of lessons and corresponding immersive experiences to reinforce the language learning process. The degree of difficulty of each lesson will be adapted to the level of proficiency of the Spanish language according to the knowledge of each student. Price
The price includes: 4 hours of classes a day and permanent accompaniment during the cultural part of the program (approximately 8 more hours). The student will also receive a guidebook, materials, level test and certificate.
Hours in the classroom: 20 hours.
Practice hours on the Academic-Cultural Journey: 40 hours (accompaniment and practice of Spanish in context).
Academic-Cultural activities plus transportation in Medellín, lodging, tickets to parks and tours, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, supplies and guidebook, PayPal’s commission fee, organization and logistics: Total price: 3,520 USD.
Reservations: to reserve the Academic-Cultural Journey, the student must previously deposit 50% (1,760 USD) of the value of the package.
The remaining 50% of the money (1,760 USD) must be deposited 15 days before trip start. The money must be transferred to the PayPal account of LEARN SPANISH WITH A NATIVE SPEAKER. As soon as the reservation is confirmed, I will make the first invoice. Later, 8 days before starting classes, I will send the second invoice in PayPal.
IMPORTANT: Note: Although there are established dates for the Academic-Cultural Journey, it is worth mentioning that you can also contact me anytime to schedule the dates of your preference. Likewise, you can choose the destination you want in Colombia or Latin America to carry out your immersive experience.
In addition, you can also do the Academic-Cultural Journey individually and privately or in couples.
In the academic part, you can choose the topics of your interest, therefore, the topics that I have proposed for classes can vary as you wish and according to your level.
